Bellingham Aquarium

Bellingham Aquarium

The Bellingham Aquarium is bluer than any of my previous aquariums. Unlike my Seattle aquarium, the Bellingham is only twnety gallons right now and simply an off-the-shelf box style. I got some goldfish in it, for now. I'm thinking through what I will do this time, while I am in Bellingham.

Bellingham sits on Bellingham Bay, which is a bay of the northern Puget Sound. It is salt water, with serious brackish water inlet areas. My Bellingham aquarium right now is just a fresh water goldfish tank.

More Fish

The Bellingham Aquarium is unlike any other aquarium I have made. It is blue, with goldfish. I'm dreaming of a salt water aquarium with octopus and starfish and sea anemone and kelp. But for now, I have goldfish. My next addition is going to be a little bubbling deep sea diver figurine with a treasure chest that opens and closs with the bubbles.

About the Bellingham Waterfront & Bellingham Aquarium

When I first went to Western I wondered why Bellingham had so much dilapidated industry along the waterfront. I assumed it must be polluted for no one to care about how it looks. I missed going to a good local aquarium, so I decided tomake my own, which I call the Bellingham Aquarium. You can see pictures above. I might even get a web cam.

I think Bellingham has a touch-tank kids science center along the waterfront, too. Someday maybe Bellingham will build an aquarium.
